Our instructors are skilled motivators who will guide you through some of the most fun and challenging workouts you’ll ever experience, while constantly showing variation appropriate for all fitness levels. BOSU, Cardio Dance, Kickboxing, Pilates, Power Pump, Step, Yoga, are just some of the class names that appear on our Group Fitness schedules. The health benefits of aerobic exercise are numerous. People who regularly attend classes can improve their cardiovascular health, reduce their body fat, increase their flexibility and strengthen their muscles. Other benefits include increased energy levels throughout the day, decreased blood pressure and cholesterol levels, strengthening of bones, improved posture and a lower level of stress.
At many of our locations, Bailey’s also offers fun, high-energy indoor Cycling Program , complete with authentic cycling rooms and the best quality bikes. This workout is great for every fitness level as you control your own pace and resistance level. Tips for Getting Started to help you ease into the indoor spinning experience, remember the following:
Take Control of the Ride. Don’t come out of the gate too fast. This is the most common mistake beginners make. Pace yourself!
Come Prepared. Wear comfortable clothes, including padded bike shorts and low-top shoes with stiff midsoles (cross trainers or spinning shoes). Bring plenty of water and a towel.
Talk to Your Instructor. Describe your fitness history, goals and injuries. Ask about proper posture and learn how to adjust resistance and speed. Make sure your seat height and angle is correct.
Make a Commitment. Try this activity for several weeks, rather than giving up too soon. Indoor spinning may provide just the boost your fitness program needs--so get on your bike and ride!
