There is also a growing body of evidence that exposure to bright light sources has been successful in treating the symptoms of seasonal affective disorder (SAD), which tends to plague people in times of limited daylight hours such as the winter season. When used properly and with common sense, indoor tanning is a safe way to achieve a look of well being without the concern of overexposure that can occur while sunbathing outside.
